🤘 corn
daily
We bought a lot of corn this summer. My 2 year old is basically made of corn at this point.
There’s a corn stand near our house. Only a 15 minute walk away.
Yet we never once bought corn from it. We only bought it from a stand a 20 minute drive away from our house.
Why?
Because it was on my wife’s commute.
Proximity is only one factor when it comes to making decisions. When you’re creating a product or marketing a service, especially in B2B, remember that user research can be misleading. Maybe you learn that your users carry iPads - so you decide to develop your software for iPads, only to learn that there’s a critical point in their workflow during which they sit down at a desktop. (This isn’t a random example - this happened to me).
You need to understand your users so well that you could do their job - otherwise, you might miss the most important details.
