About Me

I was very lucky.

Prior to working in tech, I was a journalist. Unfortunately, journalism as a profession began to collapse right as I was beginning my career.

So I taught myself how to program and I haven't looked back. Since then, I've been a developer (thrice), an engineering manager (twice), and a tech advisor (to more founders than I can remember).

My teams and I have built an FDA-approved machine learning diagnostic system, DNA sequencing lab software, and a kidney stone treatment platform that takes patients from registration to AI-assisted treatment to claims, among others.

I know my way around custom software development. I've seen all the ways it can go right... and all the ways it can go wrong.

My mission is to make sure it never goes wrong again for the founders I meet.
